Step 1: wash and dry your hands

Before touching your lenses, wash your hands with soap and water. Dry them with a clean, lint-free towel so oils, dirt, and debris do not transfer to your glasses.

Step 2: rinse glasses with lukewarm water

Hold your glasses under a gentle stream of lukewarm water to remove dust and particles. Avoid hot water, which may damage certain lens coatings or frame materials.

Step 3: use lens cleaner or lotion-free dish soap

Apply a small amount of lens cleaner or lotion-free dish soap. Gently clean both sides of the lenses, the frame front, temples, bridge, and nose pads using clean fingertips.

Step 4: rinse thoroughly

Rinse lenses and frames well to remove all soap or cleaner. Residue can leave streaks and make lenses harder to see through.

Step 5: dry with a clean microfiber cloth

Use a clean microfiber or lint-free cloth. Avoid paper towels, tissues, napkins, or clothing because rough fibers can scratch lenses or leave lint behind.

What not to use on glasses

Do not use household glass cleaner, surface cleaner, acetone, harsh chemicals, or abrasive materials. These products can damage lens coatings, frames, or nose pads.
